Workshop on building automotive training program


On June 6, 2015, Dung Quat Vocational College of Technique and Technology and AFD experts held Workshop on building automotive training program.

The workshop was attended by 10 local automotive companies in the field of manufacturing and maintaining. The AFD experts are Mr. Jean Jacques Diverchy and Mr. Tran Van Nhu. Mr. Nguyen Hong Tay – The College Rector, rectorial members and automotive teachers participated in the workshop. Mr. Stéphan Veran, AFD project counselor attended the event.

In the present context of rapid integration and globalization, training quality human resources meeting the labour market demand at international standard is the core issue of vocational institutes. The automotive training program of Dung Quat Vocational College of Technique and Technology was built basing on the actual requirements and reference on French training programs. Thus, this workshop was a good chance to directly acquire the value opinions from the companies. 
 

Mr. Jean Jacques Diverchy presented the French training program​

On 22/10/2014, the automotive workshop ground breaking ceremony was held. This is the Sub-project 5 under Project of “Investment to develop high quality technical and vocational training institutions” using ODA loan from French Government.

The workshop’s objective is to review the jobs and duties or tasks proposed in the French programs; select the suitable duties or tasks needed for the Vietnamese context; validate the main content which should be suitable and to get information on the possible partnership with companies.

 

Discussing on the training program​

The workshop received many value contribution ideas from the companies. The participants focus on the training objectives, the required knowledge and skills. All the experts agreed that this training program was well building and expected students would meet the labour market requirements. Besides, the companies also pointed out some soft, management skills that required when students going to work. Basing on the workshop result, the College will re-build the training program following the labour market needs.

Mr. Nguyen Hong Tay – the College Rector said that the strong point of this training program is the adaption of French training programs in combining with modern equipment that help students learning in the real environment. Moreover, the job positions are clearly defined so that the students can have the overall review of their future job. “After graduation, students can find job in local companies or go to work oversea”, Said Mr. Tay.​
